Giant Interactive Group – Chinese Tech Stock

There are a lot of Chinese tech stocks trading on US exchanges. It gives American investors an opportunity to easily invest in the growth in China. Giant Interactive Group is one of those stocks. They develop online multiplayer games, which are extremely popular in China.

I like the growth prospects of this stock. They are a small cap stock at $948 million. Shares are trading at $4.02 a share. Their price to earnings is 6.91. If you know how to invest in stocks, you know that is relatively low.

There are other things to like about this company as well. They have really low debt levels. Their debt to equity ratio is .11. The industry average for computer services is 1.40.

Their profit margins look great too. They brought in $210 million in sales and generated $128 million in earnings from that. That was a net profit margin of 67.35%. Their revenues are progressively growing as well. I would say that for the stock price, this is probably undervalued.

Retirement Age to be AxedI am 48 years old, not quite retirement age, but an unfortunate event caused me to look up the 401k distribution rules. About 6 months ago, I was in an accident, which caused me to be permanently disabled, unable to work and earn a living. I did not know what to do. I have been a member of the 401k plan at work and thought that there might be a way for me to make my withdrawal earlier then retirement. I contacted our fund manager and enquired if it was at all possible. She informed me that according to the 401k distribution rule, it was definitely possible and that she would request the necessary documentation for me and she will assist with the withdrawal process too. It went smoothly after that and in no time, I had my money. This made my life a lot easier and the burden on my shoulders disappeared.

The 401K rollover has many primary benefits but also there are plenty of some set backs and some disadvantages. One of the drawbacks of 401K rollover is that one loses a lot of flexibility.
